Well that probably make more sense…. from an efficiency POV but I kinda like the whole idea of the travelling stick!

Rather than passing a stick around physically, why doesnt someone upload the contents to a filesharing site? It appears that there have been lengths taken to make sure there are no copyright materials on it, so distribution isnt illegal. It would save mailing fees and mean that all could access the files at their leisure, even updates to the information would be more straightforward.
Would work for some but for me it may possibly take several months to download, depending on the quantity of data, of course.

I'm uploading the first edition of the travelling stick to a public folder of my DropBox account right now.
When that's doe, I'll put the link(s) here.

Phil, I you want to post me the second edition (I think I was the first address in the first round), I'll upload the additions and put the new links here too.

    Hi Joe,
I just had a 'download' play with the files and they worked a treat.
I will post the extra files to you as I have absolutely no idea how you uploaded them.
I am still not 1000% sure everything is out of copyright so would emailing the link privately to everyone safeguard us from anything that we possibly could have missed?
If anyone doesn't have the download capabilities for this or slow speeds, let me know and the stick can still be mailed out.

Can someone give me a rough estimate of how much data we are looking at?

I have just updated my pos phone browser. Huge difference. Was very limited. Still cannot afford to get pics tho.

Thanks Gavin. I can handle that much without any worries. I was thinking it would be more. My name can be taken off the list now.
