It looks like a nice lathe but if you look at the tailstock it has had some pretty big chips in it that have been painted over, so it could be a rough lathe that has just been tidied up to look good.
On the other hand it could be a really nice lathe, but you would think the price would be far more for a lathe like that in good condition.
If someone goes and has a look let us all know what it's like.If the ways aren't worn much and the gear boxes are good, it would be a good buy for $2000 or less (after bartering, LOL).

    Hi Matthew,

Well, Stuart's gone on holidays you see, and he's lent his super-power vision to Dave..

I wouldn't mind the chips, it's a nice solid looking lathe.

Sneak it in?? I think not. It probably weighs a good 2 tonne.
Machinery to move this will be big and noisy. Just a tad difficult to disguise.

Yeah; but what about getting it off the truck. This is the newer version of my lathe and they are damn heavy. I wouldn't even load it onto YOUR best tandem trailer and tow vehicle.

As to pallet trollies; been there done that. I used skates under the tailstock end and a pallet trolley under the head. No problems with the hydraulics lifting; but the wheels are the weak point. As soon as I started to move the unit; the poly/nylon tyres just stretched and peeled off the cast wheels of the hired trolley. An Oh #### moment.
