Sorry Steve just saw your question. The angle plate butts up to the fixed jaw but has a stop that catches on the fixed jaw at the blade end. If you try it without the stop, the angle plate just slides away from the blade.
Have a couple of handy tips for the saw, but will post them in the Bandsaw Mods thread.

Have been in need of more tool storage post-mill and post-lathe acquisition and got lucky this morning - picked up this pair of Contour tool trolley+top chest for $350:

Not many tools in there, but I'm not complaining!

All of my other tool trolleys and chests are blue... so the vivid green doesn't really fit in, but I have far too many things in the to-paint line - so green they'll stay.

A bit of bling doesn't go astray in a workshop, at least you will remember there in the green one lol.

I ordered my Maxim one in black, I thought it was the best pick out of black, blue, red, green or orange, every tool chest seems to be red these days so I didn't want red.

The prices of boxes is climbing quickly these days, so you got a great bargain at that price

True. Doing up a Record 4" vice and just painted it Chevrolet Orange. Also another brand of 6" vice in Dupli-Color Anodised Blue finish. They stand out.

Picked up a Dawn 6HP today - over 57kg of Aussie cast iron - it's quite ridiculously oversized. No photos yet as it was a bit of a rush job but there will of course be photos and a resto writeup once there's time.

I'd love to see a 7HQ or an 8HP/HQ one day - though I suspect there aren't too many of them floating around...

Been very busy but had to take time to bring new toy home. Picked it up at auction for very good price. It appears to have have virtually no use. Only a slight amount of dirt in the wheel housing and no paint damage on the end plate the grindings crash into. The wheel appears to be the original and its diameter is still 198mm. And most importantly it will fit through my door with some disassembly The Z screw had oil that was so dried out the vertical rise was limited to about 100mm, good clean out and relube and all is well. The motor is a star delta so rewire to suit a VFD as i don't have 3 phase, easy and that's how i like it. It is missing the tools which is a shame but i did get some extras with it.

The Mill came finally. Now to disassemble it and shift it to the shed.
It is a Phoebus PBM-2VS, only small but more than big enough for me. Next move is to bring the lathe home but that has to wait until not so busy.
Bought a heap of stuff from M&G Productions, about 75Kg according to the tracker. Will post some pix when it gets here. Man this gets expensive

    Nice score.
Unfortunately, no one told you that you could end up with a small fortune with this hobby,
trouble is you need a big one to start

Very nice mill. "Man this gets expensive" yeah I remember my old Boss telling me that you never stop buying tooling for a Milling Machine.
