AB's cast iron plane?
Hi AB,
I have been away from the forum lately, so may have missed your concluding post re your hand plane. If not finished, are you close?
What prompted me to ask, is this link, my godfather. There are some really clever blokes around.

Hello Ken,
The plane project lost momentum when I dragged the No.3 grinder home.
I have spent the last few weeks working on the grinding head. I want to see if the thing will actually work as a grinder. I am ignoring the worn table ways for the time being. There is little point in progressing any further if the head and spindle aren't up to it.
The plane body needs to have the sides thinned and the mouth filed into shape. Then there is the adjuster to machine along with making the lever cap and blade. The blade is something I need to discuss further with Ray. His oven will be up and running well before I get around to trying to reassemble mine.
Then there is a return to my woodie past. I have to make the handle and front bun.
I have to bowl this plane over. I look guiltily at the bronze plane that still awaits completion. I started that one in 1992.
