need a place to curve some alu sheet.
This is a long shot, but here goes.
I need to curve a small piece of alloy sheet (450 x 175 x 2 mm), to match the curve on a small frame. I have a little roll machine but it will not take 450mm. So I need to find somewhere in the south/eastern suburbs that can do this for me. Of coarse I'm paying, but it wouldn't be more than a fifteen minute job. I will even pay to do this on the machine myself.
Does anyone know where I can get this done? Or, where I can hire the machine for an hour?
I live in Somerville, victoria.

Lots of old plumbing firms, roofing blokes, sheet metal fabricators, general engineering workshops and even your local TAFE would be likely candidates for having a small set of hand operated plate rolls. Hopefully another forum member who is located close by to you will chime in with an offer to help out. Good luck Oldnewby,

Why don't you wander into Hare and Forbes and ask for a demo on one of their machines, Just tell them you have brought a sample of the job required to see which machine would be up to the task.
And yes I am serious....
Just an avenue that won't cost.

Thanks for the replies guys.
I'm not game to use the machines at the shop. I would first need to set the machine up then do a few trial bends on some scrap then yadayada, you know what I mean lol. I'll just look around for someone who will do it.
