Air receiver explodes
HI ALL,
I just came across this on the Internet, seems it was some Time ago Alerts . At first I thought the dark bit on the Wall was a Hole, but then I realised its the Air Receiver Peeled open. I wouldn't have wanted to there when that Tank went off.All The Best steran50 Stewart

never even considered the possibility of an internal ignition/explosion from within the cylinder for the reasons stated.....
Definitely something to be aware of

How often would the relief valve be floated or eased by hand? Probably never. What happens when the valve sticks to its seat?
What would happen if the pressure switch fails to turn off the motor?
Ever touched the pipe between the compressor cylinders and the tank? It gets B hot.
Pressure vessels can be lethal!
