    Default Unwanted email

Yesterday I received an unsolicited email @ Woodwork Forums. (Can't find his name in the member list)

For some reason Mr Spammer thinks I am a machine tool accessory supplier. There are times when I wished I was in the game.

Have you received similar unsolicited emails?

    Hi Ken

Not through the forum but I haven't been around long. I am however an eBay seller and move quite a bit of non related gear. I get these types of emails fairly regularly and have ignored all of them so far. Some companies troll the net looking for people who look like sellers to approach to buy their products. I used to get dozens when I was selling mobile phones.

Most would probably be reputable suppliers but there would undoubtedly be the dodgy blokes out there as well. This bloke looks pretty legit to me.

    Regards
    Danny

I don't care if this bloke is legit or not. It's akin to walking into a blokes backyard, uninvited.

In my opinion, it's not the way to conduct business, "and do you have a copy of your electricity bill?"

"we're in your area and can paint your roof tiles for half price". "Nick off, I have a tin roof".

    Need I say more?

    Thanks Groggy,

I dare not think what the term Groggy refers to, a bit like me at this hour?

I got my email around 3:30 Monday. I did look on the website but no prices. The price of $2.77 for a ER32 collet in the email is cheaper than CTC.

You mean you guys register on forums with a real email address, not a throwaway one that gets looked at once every six months if it's lucky??????
