Hello Ana,
Is there any chance that you might be able to attach a photo or provide a link so we can see what it is that you are chasing?
Regards
Bob.

Ana, you might find you have to buy offshore. A lot of us on this forum do, either because we can't find the tooling we want locally, or the pricing is not competitive. I think we'd all rather keep our money in the country, but if local suppliers don't want our business, what can we do?

Engravers
Hi Bryan,
Thanks for the heads up, have also sourced items from OS as not available in Oz, This is occuring more & more frequently each year as suppliers are not willing to hold stock, but rather order in as required from large warehouses located either in major cities or asia. These stocks are inevitably driven by turnover, thus items are phased out if turnover is low.
Not sure if these engravers fall into this catagory, but never the less to date, unable to source local.
Previously I have purchaced 4 of these from various suppliers in Melbourne, they no longer stock.
I passed the info for some of these I located in England to a local tool supplier, He was unable to find the prime source of these & could not better the quoted price.
Heard on the news the other day, a number of retail stores complaining about people buying online & avoiding the GST etc? Maybe they need to review their inventory & supply the needs of the few.
I do understand there is an enormous machine @ work suppling millions of items into our country & some requests may seem trivial, but certainly uses up some time trying to find the occasional item. Anyway hope to gets some good vibes back
Cheers
Martin / Ana
