Identification For Old Metal Lathe
I have had this lathe for probably 10 years and it suits me for my tinkering.
I haven't given it a restorative fresh coat of paint as yet as I'm still getting used to its little quirks. I have sent this attachments to a pommy site I found but haven't heard anything back yet. I thought maybe you learned chaps/ettes may be able to enlighten meJust do it!
Kind regards Rod

When you move the Carriage towards the Chuck do you wind the handle towards the Tailstock?
Also to engage backgear do you release the nut going through the bull gear.
To engauge cross feed do you lock the nut to the leadscrew at the tailstock end of the carriage.
The oilers for the headstock spindle do they have a plate covering where you oil,do you just slide the plate to 1 side to oil.Last edited by pipeclay; 29th Aug 2010 at 07:36 PM. Reason: more

To move the saddle toward the headstock you turn the wheel anti clock wise (towards the headstock)
Hope this helpsJust do it!
