Your welcome to come over and use mine in Muswellbrook NSW.
I've seen a tradesman machinist have a round column mill at home and do awesome work, no matter what anybody says they are a capible mill and not overly expensive used.
Seems we both have something each other want, but I'm not trading my mill for for your crosslide, lol
Nice work anyway mate, I bought kitchen plastic chopping boards to cover my mill T slots and table either side of the vice.

Hi Chris, Guys,
I've mentioned this a number of times on the forums, the pictures contain information inserted by the phone/camera what ever, that contains the orientation of the camera when the picture was taken ! This information is used by the forum software to orientate the picture according to the rotation of the camera when the picture was taken.
This information called "EXIF" embedded in the picture must be removed so that it cannot be used to alter the rotation from that which you may have changed it to later. You must edit the picture and re-save it in order to remove the EXIF data ! Normally I crop the edges off a picture in order to do this. Afterwards you can rotate the picture as you like.
As a side note, dash cams also insert information into the pictures/video's that they take. Depending upon sophistication of the cam it may also contain GPS location co-ordinates, time, date and sequence number in addition to the device serial number.
HTH.
NOTE to mods: This information could do with being made into a sticky !Best Regards:
Baron J.

Those T slot fillers are a great idea!
I also like Dave's idea of cutting boards over the surrounding T slots.
All this time I've been perservering with the T slots filling up with swarf when I could have thrown some chopping boards on it!
Such a simple thing to do. That's gunna happen in the next few days!
Cheers,
Simon

Oh, I used to have issues with photo orientation as well, so much so that some members got grumpy with me!

I got a bit more sophisticated and bent some sheet ally.
Which, since fitting the DRO to the back, doesn’t sit properly flat anymore

No one likes a show off!
But hey that's a great idea too. I got a folder too, I should consider that.
Did I mention I got a folder?

I know you have John. So has BobL. That doesn't make it any less annoying.
As I mentioned, my phone was in the "normal" position when I took that picture.
So here's the thing. The EXIF data is used by the phone to "remind" it which way the camera was orientated when the pic was taken. So, next time you look at the pic it will be orientated correctly. Apparently Tapatalk can read EXIF data and keep pictures orientated correctly. Ergo, the problem is NOT the camera or the user- it's the forum software. The iPhone must be the most common camera on the planet, by a country mile. I say fix the forum software, rather than expecting users to faff around with their pictures.
Rant over...... for now.Chris

Hi Chris, Guys,
I disagree !
Unless the phone has the ability to know which way is up at the point when you take the picture, then the reference position is a fixed one in the camera/phone whatever. If you rotate the camera to take a picture then the fixed reference in the camera is rotated as well and stored in the EXIF data.
Its not an issue that can be corrected by the forum software ! The forum software has no idea which way round your picture should be displayed, it is orientated only by using the EXIF data if it exists. This is why you should remove it and then your picture will be displayed as you intend.Best Regards:

I think you have it backwards BaronJ. The problem is that vBulletin strips the EXIF data from uploaded images. Download the images and check the EXIF data; there is none. This is a fairly sane default as some devices may embed stuff like GPS location in the EXIF data, which is probably not the kind of information most people would want to make available to any old member on a web forum. A quick search on the net suggests that there is a config setting that you can toggle to keep the EXIF data, but the previously mentioned "con" probably outweighs the "pro". It seems this stripping of EXIF data is a common complaint amongst vBulletin users and has been for some time.

I don't think there is any technical reason they can't, they just don't. They're already using some sort of image library to generate reduced-resolution preview images. Apparently it can be fixed, if you're willing to modify vBulletin yourself: https://biztips.co/fix-rotated-image...vbulletin.html

Thank you for your comments !
I usually remove EXIF data before I post a picture, that way the picture remains the way I want it to display !
If I don't do this and leave the EXIF data in place the picture gets rotated by the forum to match the camera's reference. So if I take a picture with the camera rotated 180 degrees the picture appears on the forum up side down ! But if I remove the EXIF data by editing and rotating the picture to the correct orientation before posting then the picture appears the correct way up.
So to me, the logical thing to do in order to prevent the forum using the EXIF data and orientating the picture according to it, is to remove the EXIF data first ! Before posting.
From following comments it seems that some forums treat pictures differently ! I can't comment about Iphones, since I don't have one.Best Regards:
