Thread: Help Needed

Hi, I need some help please. I have a AL50A metal lathe and Hare Forbes cannot supply any parts for it. I read on your forum that these lathes are sold under several different names and I was hoping someone can tell me what other names and who else I could contact to get a new motor and belt drive gear for the end of the motor.

The previous model was a CQ6123 and I have bought the odd part for mine. They are nearly identical

They gave me the impression that they can supply spares for the lathe I bought a few years ago. ( AL-335)
Maybe try another store?
They have a form on their website to use when chasing spare parts.
What were you after specifically?

Try Gasweld they sell the same lathe under a different name, I had the same problem with H&F I had the distinct impression that there policy is "sell and forget it" it also arrived is 3 weeks not the seven months H&F were talking

I have an AL50 and had no problems with spare parts from the Sydney store, including belts and the tailstock handwheel .
