How to adjust gibs
Hi all,
I was wondering what the correct procedure for adjusting gib screws is? The compound slide on my lathe is really stiff. If I have the compound turning normally, there is too much play, and if I get rid of the play, the compound is really stiff to turn.
The cross slide isnt that flash either.
Any help will be appreciated.
