Default Looking for someone to make me something :)

Hello all,.. I hope its ok to post something like this here. Please forgive me if I'm out of line posting this.

I'm a lampworker/glass beadmaker in Canberra and I have agreed to do a custom order job for a customer, to make some items that are a little out of the ordinary for lampworkers/beadmakers. I have struck some problems in making these items because my current tools are not up to the job and so I have come up with a tool design that should make this task an easy one. This tool is not available anywhere on the market and so why I'm looking for someone who might be able to turn a few up for me.

The job will require a small amount of turning using stainless steel and a little spot of welding on each tool. The tools/weld joins will need to withstand a fair bit of heat from the torch. I would avoid pointing the flame directly onto the joins, however the top of the tool will need to glow briefly at the start each time it is used and heat will obviously travel to the joins. They will also be subjected to regular and long time kiln temps of 500degC.

I would like two of these tools in two slightly different sizes initially.....but ideally I would llllllllllllllllove more so that I can make more of these items per torch session instead of only being able to do two. Cost being the factor here.

Please email or PM me if you think you may be interested in this job, and I will give you exact details of what I need and we can discuss the best way to go about it. I don't think this job would be a difficult one for those who love to turn metal.

I look forward to hearing from anyone.

    Cheers,
    Remy

Remy, I think you would need to post a picture or drawing of you tools before people will offer there services. A sketch or photo or web site etc would help.

Thanks Claw, I just found two PMs in my inbox about the job. I will talk to both and see if it is possible to have these made up.

If no luck there,.. I will post a pic.

No more offers required at this point. Thanks everyone,. I will let you know how it goes.
