    Default Inserting Images from URL?

Every time I need to insert an Image whether in a posting/thread or a PM, it comes up wanting a URL, how do I get back to "From Computer" to insert an image???
All my pics are downloaded to the computer and I don't use an other organisation to store them.
    TIA

Do you have the "From Computer" TAB showing on the Insert Image dialog box?

You could always use the Manage Attachments section to insert the image, that's how I've always done it.

Thanks Gavin, but no cigar, I wish that did come up, as it's what I normally use.
Will try to find the "Manage Attachment" thingumajig.
It did come up, when I managed to put the pics in the post about wanting Whitworth sockets,
but not in a PM. Must be one of those intermittent faults.

The manage attachments button is in the Additional Options section below the text entry box

It opens a new window with the File Manager software.

However, rather than being intermittent I suspect the codebase for PM handling lacks the ability to access local files, either directly or via the File Manger code, hence the restriction to URLs.

    Default Inserting Images from URL?

PM’s do not allow photo attachments on this forum:

Tapatalk on the other hand does attach photos but it does this by uploading the photos to its server and inserts a URL into the message.

One other workaround may be to post the photo to https://imgur.io and paste that URL. It will probably not parse the URL (I don’t think it will) but anyone can click on the link and view the photos without an account. Imgur will keep the photos for an unlimited period AFAIK.

Thanks guys for the help, it's GREATLY appreciated. Pretty sure I've been able to insert them into PM's before?
    Thanks again
