Manipulating pictures !
Hi who ever this concerns,
In manage attachments, how do I delete pictures wrongly uploaded ?
Incidentally I've just discovered how to create a new folder to put pictures in for a single subject ! Thanks for that nice feature. At least I can sort my pictures into categories, which leads me into my next question ! How can I get to these new folders in order to edit or view them ?
Thanks in anticipation !Best Regards:

In the File Upload Manager window there is a 'Home" box, at the base of which is a note to the effect that images uploaded will be deleted if not used within an hour.
Not sure if that resolves your query.
Cheers,
Bill

Hi Bill,
Thank you for your reply.
I've created several sub folders that I can drag N drop pictures into, which is nice ! But there is no way that I have found other than to "Manage Attachments" at the bottom of a post to get at them.
As far as pictures not used within one hour, I've yet to have this happen.Best Regards:

you can also ask a mod to delete a picture for you.

Hi Bob,
Thank you for your reply !
That is fine if there is only a couple of pictures, but there is quite a few.
At the moment the only way it seems to get at posted pictures is to click on new thread, go to "Manage Attachments" and drag N drop into the new folders. Then when finished simply close the window. But that still leaves me with some pictures I don't want !Best Regards:

Rather late to this thread, but if you're trying to get rid of photos you've just uploaded to a post that you now don't want: If you move the mouse pointer over the photo when in the "Manage Attachments" window, a little X will come up in the corner. Clicking that removes the photo. Of course, this relies on you being able to edit the post still, or being in the process of writing it.
That doesn't work for stuff you've already uploaded previous though, but if I go to "settings" at the top right of the forum, then on the left side there is "Miscellaneous - Manage Attachments". This seems to be where you're intended to delete photos, but only the last two photos I've uploaded actually have a checkbox to the right to allow them to be deleted. I assume this is because the other ones are all attached to posts which are no longer editable, but perhaps if you have photos that are unused, you can also delete them here?
Although if you haven't used them, they should have disappeared anyway - I've had uploaded photos time out before I finished writing a post, to the point that I now write the post and put XX as a placeholder where I want the photos, then upload and insert the photos at the end.
Where on Earth did you find a way to create folders for 'attached' pictures?

Hi Jekyll&Hyde,
To answer your question, if you go into "Manage Attachments" and look on the left side, hover the mouse over the box and a window will pop up with three choices the top one allows you to create a named folder which will appear beneath. Just drag n drop your pictures in there.
Note once created you cannot delete them, but you can use the pictures in your posts.Best Regards:
