Woodwork Forum Account Issue
G'day
A long time ago I made an account over at the woodwork forum but my account never worked properly, I can't post or even access my own account profile details, I just keep getting an error message which I've screenshot and attached below.
I messaged one of the mods or administrators recently but haven't heard back.
I've got some woodwork projects coming up and it would be great if I could participate in the forum.
Can anyone here help?
Cheers,
Ben

I had a look in the members list and can't see you there. I don't know what else to do from here but hopefully Grahame will be along soon and can look into your situation.

I have a regular "user" since 2009. My computer opens up with my Mail account Woodwork Forum and Metalwork Forum every day. I have not been able to access the Woodwork Forum for more than a month now, I only get Error 403.
My daughter is a Computer Tech for a living and she has run all sorts of tests and scans etc etc and her diagnosis is that the Woodwork Forum will not recognize my Account. She has also thinks there is a problem with our satellite provider (We are getting our Internet via satellite dish because of our rural address)
Its very frustrating as I miss the ForumJust do it!
Kind regards Rod

Wondered why I hadn’t seen recent posts from you. Do you want me to drop a “help” in the Woodwork Forum” for you?

I’ve looked you up over at WWF, you’re showing as “Users awaiting email confirmation”

I posted on the WWF and will paste replies I receive here.
From Poundy
“ok, so I can't help directly, but here are the things I would do.
Incognito/ in-private browse to https://www.woodworkforums.com/ and no other URL. See if that works at all, or generates the 403 still; if not, then your IP is for some reason being blocked by the forum. The reason the MWF is different, is because it's a different instance of the forum software (even though it resolves to the same server IP address) and therefore may have separate IP block lists. If that works, but doing the same not in the in-private/incognito window I'd clear cookies related to the forum.”

WWF shows your last activity was at 11:41am today so I assume you are back on?

Chambezio.
Neil sent this message to me to post to you.
”Can you please tell Chambezio to check his PM's on MWF. I sent a message that should sort him out. Could you also ask him to please respond after trying to log in to WWF again so I can follow up if needed.
Sent 2 PMs to him on WWF whilst he could still log in also an email none were responded to. Email may not have been received but PMs were definitely delivered and not read any time during the preceding 6 days that he was online”

The message above is what Ubeat asked me to post so they are aware of the problem. Just waiting for Chambezio to reply to Neils requests.

Both problems were solved today.
Nedshead.... Your problem was because you didn't respond to the conformation email sent to you when you registered. This could be because the email was blocked by your server or email settings as it is an auto generated message. That was fixed early thisarvo (Tuesday).
chambezio.... Your problem was quite a bit more of a problem but had to do with you IP address hitting the forums 110,000+ in a 20 day period along with another 2 others that created 141,000 hits.
PMs were sent to you on 21st June and an email was also sent. I had no response to any and when an automated filter was put on around 29th June it would appear your IP was deleted. Details which would have kept you online and what was needed were in the PMs and email. But obviously you didn't see them or ignored them.
The PM sent to this forum for you today should explain and if you read the ones on WWF you should get the full picture.
Your IP wasn't deleted by admin it was most likely done by the auto program.
Hope this is of help to you both.
Cheers - Neil
