OK! the site is faulty there a programe glitch and the mods are holding this information back from you.

Those really are are fighting words Eskimo. You expect expect that forum problems are quickly sorted, so that you, who do not pay one red cent towards this forum, can sit back complain and expect someone else to sort them quickly.

The computer guy like the rest of admin is unpaid and already has a high pressure full time paid job.

I am sure that he likes nothing better to come and have to sort out the glitches that enviably crop on a bulletin board such as ours. There are only so many hours in the day and lifestyle priorities must be set. When I am aware of a problem that I can't resolve I pass it up the chain and wait for a reply. Due to pressure of work that response may not come in for quite a while. I had replies that that were time stamped in the wee hours of the morning.

I saw your post before any other members replied ,but didn't reply to it until I was satisfied it just wasn't you alone.

What was stopping you from going over to the WW side and doing some reading and then taking some preventative action on you own behalf.?

You might want to go and look at this.

You can see in this thread that people who use ad blockers don't seem to have a problem.

While you are reading , I shall refer you back to this :

Some of us are proactive enough to instal Adblocker on our own systems and from what I can tell, they are the ones responding as not having a problem.

When you do have a problem you might consider the way in which you word it.

You can be inciting at times Grahame.

I will not comment on the the first few lines for fear of causing you more ire, but to answer you comments as to payments etc why mention this.

No I dont pay anything so why do you need to make me part of this sites financials woes/remedies, is it my fault that that your IT guy does not get paid to do what ever or anyone else associated the site...why mention it...It has nothing to do in the scheme of things.

You make a lot of assumption of what I expect. It is us members who keep this site alive and one would think that ADMIN would do their best to keep us here...if the site keeps failing and you blame us for not paying to keep it alive then I expect it will die. Admin has to do its best to keep us around does it not? If that means keeping us also in the loop also then so be it.

Quote "but didn't reply to it until I was satisfied it just wasn't you alone."

If there are others who have experienced this problem at same time then I doubt it very much that its our systems. It all points to the site as being at fault does it not? No, and like yourself I am no expert in this field. However I feel that I do not need an add blocker as others are also experiencing this same problem something that was not there the day prior. From past history when this site does have a problem it very rarely mentions it leaving us members trying to work out what went wrong, and thinking to our selves was it my system or theirs???

I simply reported a problem that I (and as I also now know others as well) was I having this site (and lack of Admin comment) ...And the best advice from your self is to tell the others and I to be proactive and to install an add blocker?. I dont need and add blocker!!!.. it is a problem with the site and I reiterate..it was not there before!!

I've always run adblockers and have no problems with ads. Apart from reducing page clutter the other thing this does is reduce the amount of junk email I get for "this that and the other thing". On FB I started getting annoying ads for Philippino brides so changed my status to female and within days started getting ads for feminine hygiene products.

The only sites that adblockers don't work against unwanted emails are sites like ebay where to purchase anything you have to search/view specific products and then of course you get the inevitable email reminders.

As far as adblockers denying revenue to the site owners, I agree this is an issue but I'm always happy to contribute directly towards the running of this site.

It would appear at least to me via an iPad that I cannot reply to a thread unless I reply with quote, the reply to thread option is not there.

This is something which has appeared for many within the last few days...and also on the eood work fourum site all in house.
Does not happen on other forum sites.

Google FB etc records your activity Bob...hence it shows you what its algorythsims thinks you want to see. Just follow certain types of products on FB maket place eg lawnmowers...youll get all the gardening stuff you will ever need.

With Google I occasionally get Gmail (An email account I rarely use) advertising email that indicates it's tracking tracks my google searches but otherwise my ad blocker strips out all adds (targeted or not) on websites so I don't see them in the browser.

With FB I use an extension called Facebook Purity that completely strips out all the ads out (plus a bunch of other stuff like FB posts that pretend not to be adds ) so I never see what ads FB is throwing at me within FB.

So while they can collect all my clicks they can't throw any of them back at me within a browser.

The only things that I can't completely block are unsolicited emails from vendors that I have an account with but these can be easily prediverted to trash within the email app.

I only found out there was a problem over here this evening when I saw it mentioned on WWF.

Other than that I've had no notification of the problem happening here.

None of it is our doing. We are working hard in the background of WWF to rectify the problem over there and will do the same here as soon as we have the WWF under control as it is most likely that the fix for there will also be the same for here.

It's currently a major problem finding the fix. So please be patient. We are doing what we can and will inform you when I know what's happening. In the mean time I have just delete all the regular ads on here (except for the side sponsor ads) as I have done on WWF and will slowly replace them when we figure out how to proceed.

Not fixed or even near being fixed. Still tracking down the problem(s) going through many thousands of lines of code one by one trying to find out what's happened.

As per my post early today:
