    Hi Lewis,

    If I recall correctly your post was in the EBay (for sale elsewhere) sub forum. New threads are locked following the initial post to in order to direct viewers to the external site.

    From memory you were acting as the direct agent for your friend and as such the post should have just gone into the standard for sale section. Perhaps it would have been easier for a Mod to move it rather than close it but perhaps there were other reasons.

    It was moved and closed, because you aren't actually selling the lathe and you are only passing on contact details for interested parties, which to the mods indicates that it is for sale outside of the forum, as the person selling isn't actually a member.
