Trouble opening pictures
Hi all, can someone please help me.
I am having trouble opening pictures that are in a small box with a red cross.
For example, in a post by JUBILAKI on 12th April, in the Welcome Forum.
It is not only in Woodwork Forums but in other web pages that I have this trouble.
Thanks for any help.
Keith.

First guess is that the 'Load images automatically' tickbox might be unticked. In Firefox, it's under Tools - Options. (no idea where that switch lives in IE, sorry.)
If it's only some images that don't load, then you have to track down if it is images by site (ie. all images on this forum) or images by file type (ie. all images in jpg format) and doing more sleuthing to work out what's happening from there. Try clicking on some of the red crossed boxes and see if the image loads in a new window; if it does, then its something funny happening with your browser...which leads me to suggest trying a different browser to see if the behaviour is repeated.
EDIT: D'oh, just tried that mentioned post...pics don't load for me either, in both Firefox and IE. The URL is there (and loads when entered manually, so it's not a problem with the image hoster). I'd suggest it's this board software suppressing the display of links for new members (prevents board spamming by one-hit post URL 'n run type people).
