Default A Question For the Moderators

This is by no means a complaint about the Forum and how it works. Quite the contrary. I find the details expressed and the chit chat between members very good and entertaining.
My question is regarding ones status as printed next to the avitar. My designation is "novice". If thats referrring to my activity on the Forum then thats OK, But when I read it, I get uneasy on my chair because I have been in the carpentry trade for 40 years and being referred to as a "novice" doesn't fit right. (Yeh, I know I am thin skinned and take things the wrong way)
Can I change the status to something more fitting like.....Dopey Old Phart...? If so how do I do it?
    Regards Rod

    Yep..you're right Rod.
Novice refers to your forum activity...nothing to do with your trade experience or expertise.

Wanna be called an "Old Chippy"...we can fix it.

Thank you chaps for your prompt replies. My computer skills will sorely streched to make some changes. But I will have a go.
I just thought of a little incident when I was a very raw first year apprentice. My new hand saw was only a few months old and had gotten some ugly surface rust on it mainly where I had been sawing with it. (Probably from the moisture in the timber I was cutting) Anyway the chippy I was working with had an old veteran handsaw wich had a great patina covering it from decades of continual use. I commented to him on how mine looked pretty awful compared to his and when I, niavely asked him how he got such a nice colouring to his saw he said....."Use the bastead!"

    Kind regards Rod
