    That is why I am teaching myself freecad. It is obvious it can do everything I want to do. Just in a different way, that I might find clunky because of what I am used to.

    While I have watched quite a few tutorial, I came across this one which seems to show a different way to what I am used to doing and this one seems to show quite a nifty way to look at sketching in freecad. Just doodle a design, then go back and dimension and constrain.

    The “free” nature of a product can change anytime and they did change their terms and conditions of usage in the past.

    A new CEO can decide to bring about this change anytime if he doesn’t consider it a viable business model.

    They are not just crippling down the program but actually limiting its use.

    Its a glass half empty or half full discussion beyond this point.
