Have cut a few change gears, seems to work fine. It does have a little bit of backlash etc that I haven’t bothered messing with, so when cutting gears I always lock the table locks for each cut.
Mine won’t take a full length MT2 arbor so I turned up a short one.
It’s a good exercise to turn one up, and not that big a deal.

    Hi Steve,

Mine won't take a full length MT2 taper either ! In fact it only drops in about 40 mm or so. I did consider running a reamer down and opening it out a little but decided against it simply because it would have reduced or removed the clamping surface used to retain the taper in the bore.

    Hi there,

I have a vertex HV8 8" rotary table. Having the extra table size makes things easier BUT they are very heavy too.

Mostly happy with the quality considering the work I do.

Mine has 3 T slots which bugs me no end. I would prefer 4! In fact if I was to choose again I would look for a brand with 4 T slots.

Girl, I don't wanna know about your mild-mannered alter ego or anything like that." I mean, you tell me you're, uh, super-mega-ultra-lightning babe? That's all right with me. I'm good. I'm good.

Yuasa, although you may have to import from the US.

That could be made easy enough with a lathe, mill and vice with a swivel base.
You would probably miss out on the little radius on the step up, or you could carefully file those in.
Aluminium places have offcuts, buy a 100mm thick block and make all the holes and centre cut out first, then finish the outside.
A dro would be a huge help, and I would ream the holes for press fit.
