Sheraton A 9" lathe for parts
Howdy all,
I have a Sheraton lathe (not complete) - but good for parts that I'd like to give to a Sheraton enthusiast.
It's in Perth.
Regards,
Rhys

Hi Cam,
It started as a machine minus a motor and tailstock.
As there appeared to be not interest - I was hours from throwing it in the skip (so had been stripping it further).
Essentially there is the Bed, head stock, gearbox, lead screw....and 2/3 of the stand. The saddle assembly, gear cover and sundry parts I've just put in a box.
What do you need?

Hi Cam,
Most of the lathe was all there…..minus the tail stock, motor and half the stand. It was hours away from going in the skip – so I stripped what I thought could live on.
There is now the bed, head stock, gearbox, leadscrew and half the stand. (the bits removed are just in a box)
What bits do you need?
Regards,
Rhys

Maybe some photos of what's there would spark some more interest.

Thank you for the kind words Grahame,
As stated by Cam – the Sheraton has moved to its new custodian. (I have a 1968 Hercus 9”AR)
Interestingly…….at least to me, this Sheraton lathe had the original supplier plate attached to it.
The Carlyle name actually dates back to 1926 – they merged with Atkin & Co in 1971 to become Atkins Carlyle. Atkins Carlyle were acquired by Blackwoods in 2001.
Regards,
Rhys
