    Default Simple bench grinder modification

    Hi
I bought a bench grinder from a flea market couple years ago.

It was little bad condition, and i usually doesn't even use rough wheels for grinding.

I had more use for a finishing machine, so i made this simple mod to it. Big wheel on the right side, is scotch brite polishing wheel.

Whoops. Actual thread size in chuck is 1/4-20. I allways mix those. Specially easily when video editing is made week after actual making process.

Most likely reason was, that i needed to make a new thread to pipe, and searched3/8" - 18 NPT taper thread die with google meanwhile video editing software was rendering video clips.

I squirmed a bit when I saw the tap continually spinning in the drill chuck. That looks like a good way to damage the chuck jaws.

Yep. That happens to me too, specially when it keeps that squeky sound.

I use mostly that old Milwaukee for that purpose, and it can be seen that it doesn't hold very well anymore. ( What's good for tapping ) But, that's the price i need to pay.
