Default Celtic Metalwork : Dublin Archaoelogy Museum

If ever in Dublin have a look at this stuff in the archaeology museum well worth the effort - I enjoyed it far more than whats available in Edinburgh and London Museums. Was there a few days ago and still gobsmacked.

Was fairly surprised to see examples from up to 1800BC.

.................. and the medieval stuff is amazing

As well as the spectacular gold decorative work there is some minor discussion and display of metal casting methods for swords spearheads etc.

    Thank you Bill.

I just forwarded your post to my daughter who has an interest in Celtic jewellery and metalwork and some Celtic blood in her veins. She will love it.

    Bob.
