Ok just checked it the tank is building around 10psi of pressure as when i unscrewed the check valve off the tank a big gush of air came out but i would estimate it 10-12psi

I firstly took the small hose off the check valve and ran the compressor with my finder over the hole and it built pressure

So disassembled the check valve and it looked ok, could the check valve some how create more pressure on the rubber seal over time?

I don't know wether to replace the switch or check valve or both

The air is bleeding from the nylon hose connection at the switch but its actually bleeding from the port hole when once the compressor builds pressure to 145psi it opens the valve to release the hose pressure

Pictures are not working on this site guys i'll upload one here

Within the switch should be the un-loader valve, when the compressor is running the full pressure is in the tube running to the switch. When the tank reaches pressure the un-loader valve will release any pressure in the system between the compressor and the on way check valve.
The check valve stops pressure in the tank being released.

So your answer is depends on when it is leaking, during the time the compressor is running or once the tank has reached pressure and the compressor has switched off.

Check valve irrelevant at that point.

I left the compressor for 2 hours and came back than released the air in the tank she steadily held around 10psi enough for a huge woosh out the drain valve, before i root around ordering a new switch from ebay i will need to measure mine to make sure i get the same unloader hose diameter fitting

I will buy a plug to plug up the unloader at the check valve to make sure i can build atlease 100psi and shut the pump off, need to inflate the flat boat trailer tyres

Finally got it working i used a blank on the unloader valve port on check valve it had a tiny leak from the blank, she managed 50psi in 10mins 120 litre tank so i will set the cut off at 125psi kick on at 90psi, i will make a final post after i have the new switch installed with 0 to 125psi and i'll time it from 90psi to 125psi to calculate my CFM, previous CFM was 17cfm but the spec's were 11-12cfm

Trying to finish off this air compressor my one way valve is faulty, tried looking everywhere for a 3/4" 1/2" 1/8" one way check valve with a female bleeder i can't find one this big anywhere

I tried looking for a rebuild kit but my rubber is 18mm which there are none this size on ebay although the ebay repair kit's don't give exactly where the rubber is measured i just measured the diameter

How else can i fix this?

    You sure its 1/8 ?

They like to make life hard and have imperial and metric on the same fitting

The thread's look square but the bloke at Pertek sold me a 1/8" BSPT i had asked for a 1/8" BSP, anyway that was just a block off to test the pressure build up

Just checking the thread now a M10x1.5 tap is way to course for the thread all i have that fit's in the hole is the 1/8"BSPT blank and a 1/8 NPT tap that also fit's the hole but both bind at 6mm depth

M10 x 1 appears to me the thread on the male versions.

Measured the male side it's roughly 9.47mm thread diameter and pretty difficult to work out my thread tool it just has number's on one side and 1.25,.8 etc on the other side so i just checked and the thread pitch was "28" so i'm assuming that's 28 TPI

so it look's like the male bolt is 9.47mm diameter and a 28 TPI

i will try look up all the info now, I'm not great with imperial can never work out there 1/8" to .40 or whatever can never work it out

    1/8" BSP is 28TPI.

Finally guy's the air compressor is up and running with no leak's i only actually took it up to 50psi as i only needed to pump up two boat trailer tyres and my electric bike tyre, i am in the process of releasing the excess air from the tank i cracked the drain valve only slightly sound's as loud as a sicada as not to of neighbours but it's been releasing air for over 20mins now anyway i can build a muffler im worried the neighbours will complain, i have tried adjusting the release valve and it's as quiet as i can get it can clearly hear it inside my house
