Doesn’t really make sense to buy a hundred dollar VFD and then throw two hundred dollars worth of shielded cable and ferrites and line reg modules at the problem when three hundred spent on a name brand VFD with EME compliance would not have the problem to begin with. I know… it’s an inconvenient truth that doesn’t justify the hoarding that is commonly seen amongst those that do such things
While in general I would agree, apart from general Radio reception, the interference i've observed is more related to the sensitivity of the sensors being used and the way they are interconnected. Interestingly, the VFD I've had the most problems with is a Schneider Altar VFD (which I would hardly call a budget level VFD) on the coffee machine pump.

My first 2 single ph filters were from Jaycar, while the 15amper was from Aliexpress. The interferences (radio) did not go away with ferrites and nor with shielded cable. The inline filters fixed my problems. The units are 1 x Ecogoo single ph to 380v and 2 x Teco's single ph to 220v 3ph

All the VFD's I have installed on jobs had filters incorporated into them so didnt have any noise problems. And being a commercial install we did use shielded cable to ensure we didnt get complaints from owner and tenants etc.
