Ecogoo VFD Error Code
One of my Ecogoo 240v single phase input to 380V 3phase output VFD's has tripped out with an OCH error code, the problem is that this particular code is not listed in the Instruction Manual. Has anyone experience this?

What HP ratings are the VFD and motor?
When does the error occur, on startup, unloaded motor, loaded motor???
Sounds like it could be an Over Current error.
My understanding is those VFDs don't allow the user to set a current limit but if it does, try reducing the max current.

Overcurrent. Same code mine threw when this happened (quote pinched from my Graziano thread.) And yes, annoying that the manual doesn't match up to it, but not unusual.
In this case the cause was pretty clear, but I think it's worth commenting that the HuanYang on the mill for some weird reason trips out with some sort of error if I crank the varispeed handle too fast when slowing it down. Doesn't do it under any sort of cutting load, just if you spin the speed changer down too fast, and has done it for years.
So the cause may or may not be something sinister, depending on the circumstances... Potentially trying to brake the spindle/motor too fast could do it (short decel time), I always just set mine to 'coast'...
I assume with this you're referring to a current limit which keeps the motor running, whilst not allowing it to draw over X amount of current?
The EcoGoo has a section for motor parameters including current, but as far as I can tell exceeding that just trips a fault, so reducing the current would make things worse if there was a persistent problem...

The motor is 2 speed, 1.2kw on high speed. The VFD is 2.2kw (see photo of motor data plate). I think this error is fatal as I cannot get rid of it.

Did you leave the 2 speed switch in place and did you try switching speeds with the motor running

Just a follow up on this thread for anyone with this same problem: after replacing one of the six IGBT's with a new item from Aliexpress the drive is now running like new.

How did you determine which IGBT was the problem child? Good fault finding.
