Question Single Phase Pump for coolant system

I have a pump for a mobile coolant system. It came with no instructions. In general does one have to earth a single phase pump? I have attached a picture showing the pump and wiring block.
    Regards Tom.

That gold coloured screw (left side of terminal block in your picture) is the earth

The idea behind earthing is that any stray current can leach away, rather than wait for some hapless individual to touch the device and provide a path for the current to travel.
