I have quite a few option to consider now:

    1. Run the machine directly from my Phase Changer phase converter, obviously without variable speed.

    2. Run the machine from the Phase Changer through a 415V in - 415V out VFD, which I have available.

    3. Have the motor rewound to allow a 240v input VFD to be used.

    4. Cut the flange off the existing motor and adapt it to suit a modern, standard, dual voltage flange mount motor.

    5. I will try running the machine with the motor "as is" from one of my 240v VFD's, at reduced power and see how it goes.

    6. The expensive VFD from the UK is not on my options list at the moment.

I have never used one of these but am am eager for someone else to try one

They are called a Delta VFD, so 220 single phase input and 380 3 phase output, a sample here https://www.aliexpress.com/item/3278...482f53ddVNTjxe

or pick another from here https://www.aliexpress.com/wholesale...itch_new_app=y

A quick update to this thread: the machine is now running perfectly on a 220 volt (1ph) input, 380 volt (3ph) output VFD by Ecogoo. When operating on 240 volt input the phase to phase output seems to be around 390 volts which is very close to the motors specified operating voltage. For around $120.00 from Aliexpress I think that this was the best option.
