    Default Hardware for Industrial-Grade CNC

I have developed a prototype of a CNC Machine for my client, I now need to use industrial grade components, but I struggle with the hardware, I am confused.
I just learned about PLC, and I don't know anything about them. What it takes to make an Industrial-Grade CNC ?
Should I use a PLC for my CNC ? What PLC to use ? What modules ? What is the hardware configuration ?
I want to learn, But I struggle to find informations for this on the web. Do you have some documentations ?
I need your help, I am a little bit lost I have to admit.
    Thanks !

It seems very strange to me that you would design a prototype of a machine that you have no idea how to build or what to build it with...

If it needs to be industrial grade, I strongly recommend that you go out and find an existing industrial machine that will do what you need. This is not like Lego where you can simply stick a bunch of off-the-shelf components together, plug them in and expect it to just work.

It sounds like you're in way over your head already, I suggest you back away from this project now before you end up in a very deep and expensive hole with no way out.

what sort of machine? lathe? Mill? the Control for most industrial CNC (FAGOR, Fanuc, etc) is about $20000, then add servos from there. PLC only works for simple stuff.
