Default How to identify die casting vs CNC?

Hello! How do you know if a product was made using CNC machining or die casting? Any inputs would be appreciated!

The surface roughness/ appearance will be different (machined surfaces should show as machined while die cast will be a slightly matt surface - a bit like 2000 grit wet and dry). Die castings should also show some draft, so the sides will not neccessarily be at 90 degrees to each other, or there will be a ridge where two drafted surfaces meet). Machined parts should be flat and square.
