My credit union did the same thing. And since they became a bank, they had to engage a credit card fraud prevention service. Now I can’t use my debit card for overseas online purchases, nor can I use it to buy a gift of flowers for my family in Melbourne. Once a transaction is blocked the card is blocked every where. you have to wait on the phone for 20 minutes to get the fraud company to unblock the card.
Anyway, that happened four times in three weeks, so they are now my ex credit union bank. 31 years a customer.
