Have you looked in your download folder. Type download into the windows search box to find it. (Typically - Windows\Users\your name\Downloads)

If you can get a download working, have a search on YouTube for training videos, there are some good ones there, including some from Autodesk.

Another option would be Skillshare who have a vast range of structured training videos for heaps of topics. Yearly subscription gives access to anything and everything they have for the year. I did that to learn SketchUp five years ago and developed to a level that I could design sets of cabinets for bathrooms, pantry, kitchen, library and laundry to our specific requirement, then wrap a room around each, and create a house design around that so wife could understand what we would have at the end, and make constructive criticism as the project developed and was modified. She has fairly hopeless spatial awareness, but by modeling everything to size and arranging together and being able to make comparisons to things she had lived with for a reasonable time, she did understand what she was getting and is happy with the outcome.

The Skillshare format worked well for me, each video covers the use of a group of functions with good explanations and examples and the opportunity to start with a prepared file, practice the skills taught in that video, and submit for discussion with the instructor if you wish. I am not suggesting SketchUp as the ideal software for you, just commenting on the Skillshare training format.

From the initial post, it didn't seem to identify how the opportunity to get CAD training was occurring. If it is vocational, i.e. sponsored by your employer because they expect to derive benefit from you having the training, or the government or yourself expecting to enhance your job opportunities in the future, I would suggest that you stick with recognised training courses accredited in Australia. On the other hand, if it is for your own interest, there is a lot of training out there that is good and available cheaply, it's just selecting the wheat from the chaff that becomes the problem.

I read through the course outline for the one nominated in the first post, and suggest that it is incredibly generalist in nature. There is a lot of background information there for a wide variety of industrial/commercial roles, but very little training on how to effectively use any package in any application. To me it seems like something put together to promote CAD across the board to students doing the non Uni Year 12 stream, it wets their appetite and might inspire them to further training in a more defined combination of package and industry of their choice, but certainly does not set up to entry level in any industry.

    Just my 2 bob worths.
I used to be an engineer, I'm not an engineer any more, but on the really good days I can remember when I was.

From a previous post I can see you are using Firefox on Windows 10.

Can you try Microsoft Edge which comes standard with Windows 10? Else try Google Chrome.

If you continue to have issues downloading, then let me know and I can upload it to filebin and provide an alternative link.

Good to hear you have made a start and have the software running.

Now time for you to choose your first beginner project and start getting your hands dirty with it.

Lots of tutorials on Youtube but at time most can be out dated or they may skip a step during the video edit. Pick one of the recent ones preferably by someone who is a machining or a 3d printing hobbyist.
