Seeking - Myford ML7R owner
Greetings everyone,
First up this is not for a romantic interlude, so you can relax on that score.
Last October I bought a Myford Super 7 lathe from Shaw machinery in Brisbane. I have been slowly cleaning, repairing, painting and converting to metric since then. At the time of purchase Shaw machinery also had a Myford ML7R for sale. Both lathes appeared to have come from the one owner.
My lathe came with 2 x 4" self centering 3 jaw scroll chucks. In the last week or so, I have gotten serious about getting these into the best condition I can manage. I discovered that the jaws have been swapped with some other chucks that I don't own but suspect went with the ML7R. I have only two inside jaws but a spare outside jaw. Of the 7 outside jaws, I can only make one complete set, two of those jaws match the serial number on the chuck but the other is a ring in. The second chuck is unuseable as there is 2 jaws for position 1, 2 jaws for position 2 and no jaws for position 3.
An email sent to Shaw machinery has gone unanswered.
So if anyone here bought the ML7R, or knows someone who did buy it, I'm interested in swapping the jaws to see if we can both get useful chucks. Please contact me if interested.
Cheers
