    That is what the nurse said exactly, that most of the doctors would not even know what welding is, shielding has been tried in many forms as yet nothing has proved satisfactory.
    There is no need for me to have some one else with me ( although the way you put it does sound tempting, it's ok my partner does not read this ) it is very unlikely to cause a life threatening situation, I will simply receive a unwanted shock in which case I simply stop welding.
    If I do have to give it up I am extremely well versed in Oxy/Acetylene use, more so than MMA.

    I guess if you stick to using 2.5mm rods then you can keep the amps low enough but if you wear glasses then you might need to find a pair that work at arms length and then you need to remain vigilant about keeping your distance.
    Tho i suppose that after you have had a couple of boots you should know the distance sweet spot, it would sorta work like those zapper dog training collars.
