Default Reporting a post and what to do if not sure about it.

    To all members,

You might believe you have occasion to report a post. Let's say it doesn't seem quite right but you are not quite sure about it.

Please view the suspect post through the lens of the Terms of Use before pushing the report button.

If you don't know where to find the TOU's ,you darn well should, but if by chance you never been there at all, then here I go again.

To find where the TOU,s live, do the following:

    1. First click the Rectangular Forum button with tiny white arrow beside it- at the LH side of the top of the page.
    2. Next click the first title on the pulldown which is Forum Home
    3. A scroll down page appears and Terms of Use are right at the very top of this page

There has been two recent instances of a post reported ( no names no pack drills) where the post was not quite what we would normally expect to see but never the less it did not break any Terms of Use rules. If the intent or purpose of a post was not able to be understood and contained gibberish - just ignore it.

Its not that admin does not want offending posts reported -we do, but a reported post requires the same amount work wether it is spam or another cause or not.
Please help us to help you.

Please check the TOU's if you are not 100% sure .Even then after reading the TOU's and can't make up your mind, drop me a PM and I can help you sort it.

    Thanks for reading this.

Follow up to why the post above was placed in OFF Topic

A New poster - joined and used his 1st post to post essentially gibbersh recommending toggle clamps.
He was reported and I thank those who reported but at that time said poster had not really broken the rules.

Forward to last night he posted again using exactly the same post content to another old post.
All I can make of it is:

    He likes clamps
    He responds to old posts
He gives no reason as to why he has posted the disjointed statement he had.
He had not bothered to read the TOU-s to which I had provided the information how to navigate to.

Clause 3.14 is pertinent in this case.

I believe I have tried to act fairly but this one gave me no options. If he had posted and asked a question or offered some help, or useful comment in the second post I would have left him alone.

    Just so everyone understands.

    OK then!
Have a bloody good New Years

    Grahame
