    Default Cement Mixer Repair.

My cement mixer that was loaned out and not used in 20 years and left out in the weather.
After scraping of the grease that had gone hard and degreaser would not touch, the motor runs and the barrel will turn if I turn it by hand while the motor is going.
The frame etc is all welded together so I cannot dismantle it, I want to remove this grease port and clean the hard grease out, there is just enough room to put my hand in there sideways.
Any ideas of how to clean it out?

Hi Mark, any chance of a better pic please? Is the underside of the pipe accessible, as it's very hard to get an idea of what to do to be able to get at it.
I normally use a drill bit to get the old grease out, are you able to get one in there?
If you can't get into there, can you heat the tube up with a flame torch to try to get the grease to run out???
What's with trying to fix things all of a sudden, planning on moving soon?????????

It's actually a grease cup. The cup is removed, filled with grease then screwed on, initially you keep turning until grease is seen coming out somewhere, then depending on usage, given another turn or whatever, till the cup runs out of thread, then it's unscrewed and refilled with grease, assembled etc.
You young blokes wouldn't see anything like that now days.

    I wish.

My mate has a shed that he doesn't use, he let me store some things in it, his wife dragged the mixer out and wanted to use it as a pot plant, when she ask him to fill it with dirt, he told her that she cant use it she left it around the side of the house where no ones goes, out of sight out of mind, in the weather.
