Default I must not scare the nurses

Today I learned I must not scare the nursing staff whilst being a patient after some day surgery (yesterday).
To explain, yesterday I had a scar clearing procedure to unblock the drainpipe after a prostatectomy. The medicos were not entirely satisfied with my vital signs so I had to remain overnight. I have only returned home an hour back.

Waiting about for the docs clearance to be discharged took a while as it is the weekend.

I decided to use the wait time lay down and check out the lifting mechanism of the electric bed thinking how well such a unit could be converted into a very useful work shop table.

Nurse arrived at this point to measure the vital signs and it took some explaining that I wasn't in the process of a code red.

I now know I must give them warning if there's a next time I wish to inspect the underside of my bed.

It will certainly give them something to talk about during breaks.

Its early days yet but I think it will be a success for a while and hope after this second procedure the scarring does not return.

God bless each and every one of these dedicated professionals because they deserve penny they earn and much more.

This electric actuator was from a hospital bed.

I didn't removed it from a bed - found it (and several others) in the remnants of a hospital workshop which was going to be demolished.
