It's not the old neighbours usually but city slicker after the green dream who are the ones who destroy the dream for others.
And the first thing they do (around here anyhow) is to acquire a couple of large dogs and let them roam free. Then they are most upset when their dogs are legally shot on someone else's property as being feral. But we have lost too much stock to dogs to have any tolerance left.

As for "Old barn" full of asbestos roofing or walls yep its sure to keep things interesting.
Asbestos nothing. Rough straight gum tree trunks cut down locally and corrugated iron (usually rather rusty). My barn was built around 1900 I think. Fly-ash (not Portland cement) floors.

Had to replace the in-ground bits of the uprights due to termites: dug holes and poured concrete footing. Really fun stuff.

    Cheers

terrible deep slow wooooob wooooob wooooob sound while operating.
Could be a resonance: check the tightness of the bearings in their mounts.

    Cheers
