Approx two weeks after you sell it you will have a need for several, thick walled aluminium rings, the same dia as the tank.

Hi Ed, Guys,
The smelly air suggests moisture in the air and corrosion inside the tank ! I'd guess that it might be quite nasty inside. Probably just as well you’ve decided to scrap it.Best Regards:

I made a vacuum chuck for my wood lathe from an old scuba tank a mate gave me.
Heres a pic of it when I was truing it up in the RS.
Can post more of it in use if there’s any interest.

The scrap metal yard I took it to just accepted it as it was, I used the proceeds ($16) towards a sheet of 3mm Ally which I used to build a spare fuel tank for the boat, still have 1/2 a sheet left. Haven't worked out what to make with it yet!
