Make you want to cry
These were in one of the big skips at work this arvo. 3 of them.
What a waste. Didn't appear to be much wrong with them either.
Top of skip is at chin level for me so no chance of getting them out without a fork or crane.

Its sad to see things like that.
A friend spotted a drill press on the way to the scrap bin where he worked. No good to him, to big and 3 phase so a scrap value deal was done with the company and it has lived at my place for a year now.
The reason it was being scraped "it`s unsafe as it dose not have a Perspex guard around the chuck". Go figure.

Hi Guys,
Yes that's why there not on there, they get in the bloody way. My Fobco Star was supplied with one, not fitted, just came with it. At the time I thought that I had part of someone else’s order and queried it. "Oh we have to provide one with the machine". I never fitted it.
But what a poor excuse for scraping kit that could have been sold as a pile of bits that could have been put to good use by someone !Best Regards:

Going by the problems I found inside a perspex cover was not going to save the operators for hurting themselves.
One of the gears for the auto feed had been shredded. What I think was the electrics for the auto tapping were butchered. The topper I thought was half the balls for the top spindle bearing ball bearing where missing. Though I did find them rolling around in the bottom of the head casting.
Gotta love highly skilled tradesman.
