I'm a bit more realistic. Expecting businesses to print a catalogue for each store is just not realistic. Next you'll want catalogues specific to your personal needs, that'd be nice??? Mitre 10 and Home are excellent examples of items not being available in certain stores, fact of life.

Actually I was talking about an email advertising products for sale that turned out to be unavailable. I've never said I expected printed catalogues for each store.
At the end of the day, realistic or not, if a product is advertised but not available within a very short time frame (I was trying to buy this particular product within minutes of getting the email) then I reckon at the least, its bait advertising, or at the worst its false advertising.

Thick walled ring spanner (Ive only seen 6 point) with a bit cut out of one side. For tightening or undoing Flare nuts on pipes. ie car brake pipes etc.
As you might be aware, the chance of a flare nut being originally tightened by a 200kg Gorilla with 2 metres of pipe extention on the spanner, goes up in a direct proportion to how hard it is to access said nut. Normal open end spanners fail miserably in these circumstances.

I had no idea about flare spanners ! Obviously I knew about open ended ones and ring spanners. I can honestly say I've never seen one. Your description allows me to visualise what one looks like.

    Thanks

you have/had one of the best flare spanner manufacturers in the world over there...Britool...I have several of theirs, flare spanners are in all fridgies tool box's.

you might see a really great plumber with some but its rare as they generally use anything to tighten and/or undo nuts of any type ie stillsons and multigrips.....in some cases its rare to see a plumber even use and adjustable spanner...they are as rough as guts.

Almost a necessity when replacing a master cylinder in a car.

Absolutely - along with an open ended spanner and vice grips/cold chisel/die-grinder.
First you round the nut off with the open-ender, then you use one of the other tools to butcher it undone.
When it comes to fitting the new one you remember you have some flare nut spanners somewhere and dig them out to do a professional job of the installation

Its how it works in my shed anyway......
