Clive Palmer is pretty smart. He probably never has any intention of wanting to win. I wonder if his goal was to keep the status quo going therefore giving him more opportunity to make more money then if labor was in government federally.

Usually those that lose the top job in their party do not stay in parliament for long. He will probably quit before the next three years finishes.

Bit of a mystery to me what Palmer is about. He shot himself in the foot with many of 'his' voters when he did some deal or other with the Al Gore-Clinton camp...
The Carbon Tax saga goes on: What game is Palmer playing? « JoNova
Although, Palmer ain't the only one looking for future largesse from the corrupt Gore-Clinton camp. Gillard is getting her pay-off for bringing in a carbon tax after she were elected when just before the election she said there wouldn't be a carbon tax. I'm wondering what will be Bishops pay-off...
"...Both Gillard and Bishop have contributed $500m Australian taxpayer dollars to Clinton charities ... “Julia Gillard lavished an unprecedented $292 million in taxpayer dollars on the Clinton-dominated Global Partnership for Education, where she was later appointed chair..."

Making money for himself.
If the Adani mine goes ahead, it means it opens up a whole new mining field that Palmer owns leases on.

If Adani gets cancelled then Palmer's mine will most likely also not proceed.Gold, the colour of choice for the discerning person.

I'm not aware of any job offers for Oz politicians from the current President. Perhaps a golf caddy job...
Meanwhile, the Clinton corruption exposure continues... https://www.judicialwatch.org/

One election and the world changes..
Looks like state labor is in panic mode...
"...Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has asked the Coordinator-General to oversee the approvals process for the Adani coal project saying both she and the community were "fed up" with waiting for the department to approve the Indian mining company's environmental management plans..."

He's said that was the idea now. Didn't buy a seat, bought a government.

She is a xxxxx and her and her labor cohorts should be run out of Queensland and NSW can have them. The way she has treated rural Queenslanders to garner urban green votes is nothing short of disgusting.
This is not just Adani which to me they should either say yes or no instead of the endless indecision, but the agricultural sector as well as the shutting down of schools and medical facilities. How is regional Queensland supposed to prosper when the state kills everything with regulation and then removes services, all the while the south east corner booms thanks to government investment.
The latest doozy in May was Labor bought in a new law, all solar farms over 100KW only an electrician can place and bolt down solar panels. There are already laws for voltages over 120V DC requiring electricians, but this is just placing and doing up bolts. I imagine the ETU are happy.Gold, the colour of choice for the discerning person.

The Qld LNP mob should be ringing Bob Brown up to thank him for his help in the CQ coal belt.
Talk about getting shot in the foot.
Good old Bob and his caravan managed to do a bit more than that. He blasted the Labour party's legs off.
Up here he and his mates put literally the coal back in coalition.
