Is there anyone in the Perth Metro that would be interested in going shares in a 20 litre drum of top shelf Full synthetic coolant.
They are available for about $500 for 20 litres, dilute it at 70:1 and it would well outlast me, anyone want a half or quarter share
haven't decided on a brand and open to suggestions.

That looks like Rocol RY561411 ($503 for 20L from Blackwood's) to me but the 70:1 is for Grinding and it uses 60:1 for cutting.

If so, I would consider purchasing 5L.

I still have about 2 of ~5L of some 40:1 Rocol I got about 6 years ago but I wouldn't mind having some back up.
We used Rocol at work and I found it to be really good.

If you wanted to save $75 you could always get the RY563011 ($428 for 20L) but it's only 35:1 dilution.

I would not recommend a full synthetic coolant, we used some at work for a while and it stripped all the paint off the inside of the mills, caused really bad corrosion issues, and a few $K in repairs.

The $428 ROCOL is semi synthetic - or at least it says that on its MSDS,
The $503 doesn't say whether it is or not.
All of the ferrous cutting lubes on the ROCOL site are semi synthetic but they use a different product numbering system is I cant tell what the Backwoods ones are.
The ROCOL one I have (cant remember teh number) does not remove paint so I assume its not synthetic.
