Aluminium round stock
I want to make up some Al step pulleys and need some material - diameter 180x50 long, diameter 170x80 long and diameter 160x50 long. Anyone around Adelaide got some offcuts that size or close? (I could also get them out of slab if there was some of that out there).
Capral or Surmans will sell them to me but if someone has excess to their needs...
Looking through what I do have, I have a few smaller diameters like 130x126 long, so could also swap a bit of this for that if that is more useful.

I have seen a few lightish duty pulleys made out of two pieces of steel just bolted together. One I remember was a 150 mm diameter pulley for a fume hood fan while another was on an industrial washing machine.. My guess is should be possible to do the same with Al.

Yes, and I will be doing that for some of the smaller diameters on the pulley but I have not got anything thick enough of the appropriate size for the larger sheaves. These are for poly-V belts, so I have a strong preference for an unbroken thickness for each sheave as a minimum.
