    Default Surface plate

    Hi all.
I would like to buy a granite surface plate if anybody has or knows of one for sale. Also any other workshop items.
    Thanks
    Stewart.

    Any particular size you're wanting?

Also, can you perhaps narrow down the "any other workshop items" a bit?
eg maybe what sort of things are you into, what machines do you have or any general categories of stuff that you're chasing?

    Hi Steve
Thanks for your reply, now that I reread it it is a pretty vague ad😃. I would like to learn how to scrape and rebuild machines so that is why I'm looking for a surface plate. As for a size, I think like most things bigger is better👍 but my workshop isn't very big it's about 6.6x6.5m so I think maybe about a meter square might be good to start out on I don't really know what would you suggest?
As for other machines or tooling really i would be interested in most things. I currently have a qualos lathe of about 9 inches and a invicta 30 shaper plus a woodworking bandsaw and table saw. The biggest problem is that I live in Hobart. So it depends on the seller if they want the hassle ofselling to me.
    Thanks again for the reply.

    There's a few of us in/near Hobart.

I don't have anything for sale ATM but you're welcome to drop by and visit, talk machinery etc. I've a pretty comprehensive workshop including a surface plate. There's already a waiting list for it though and it won't be for sale unless I find a bigger one. Currently I'm NOT LOOKING for more stuff.....

Send me a PM if you want.
