Default Heavy wall brass or copper pipe

Wanted SA heavy wall brass or copper pipe, diameter 65-70mm, wall thickness 8mm, length 100mm ( to give me plenty of extra for stuff ups)
I do not know if this size is even available, just though I would ask because it will make my job simpler.
I am making a box hinge once complete it will be Gold plated.

Can't help you with the material, but try your local scrappy for a brass gate valve. Probably 50mm would be about the size you're looking for, as it's 60mm OD, which should machine the hex down to your 75 OD with about 65 approx ID.

Only one local scrappy De Youngs the rest have all gone, finished size is 60 mm OD, but my skills on a metal lathe are pretty ordinary so I always need a bit extra to play with,
I am going to De Youngs tomorrow so I will see what the have they don't have a lot of that sort of gear these days

8mm is a pretty solid wall for that diameter pipe. You might be better off cutting rings out of some thick plate with hole saws.

Yes I thought of using thick plate it just complicates the process I would the have to mount them in the lathe chuck to finish them, the rings are not flat, one side has small recess to allow the timber to be attached I may resort to having some one make the rings and I can make and solder the hinge section on

Ok I have made some inquiries and the sizes I want are not available, so I have decided to fabricate the two halves in two pieces each out of sheet, I was just looking for a easy way out.
