Hi Caskwarrior, I don't suppose you could keep an eye out for a tailstock for a Colchester Bantam while you are there? 140mm centre hieght and same way dimensions as China eyes

Wow that is an amazing amount of kit. I am still looking for a 4 jaw chuck and can only dream of the taper attachment.

    Hi 58appleton,
Hi and welcome to the Metalwork Forums and a great bunch of helpful people.

Its my job to help you find your way around.

First, goto the top LH side of the page and click FORUM in the text box with the small down arrow. A pulldown menu appears, choose Forum Home on the top and click. You shall be taken to a scroll down page with our forums and other help pages.

Please read our rules -Terms of Use to understand our rules. It is important. I also recommend that you stop in and place and intro post in the Welcome Wagon- about 6 titles down the scroll page- where you can tell us about yourself as far as metal work interests and projects go.

We are interested in reading about the machines and tools you have and what you like to make. We love piccies. If you have questions about projects please give us as much info as you can so we can help you.

Diameters, length, speeds, angles, material type, grade and such are good info to have up front so members can help you straight away. If you leave them in the dark about necessary input information, diagnosis of problems can take longer to secure an answer.

If any other problems please ask. For later on when things get back to normal you might want to give a closer location. It has been known for members in the next suburb to come over and give new blokes a hand to instal equipment or show them new tricks.

If someone just puts a general location a member may not be keen to travel clear across Sydney for instance. Hopefully someone will be along shortly to help you with the search for your steady. The alternate is to create a new post as this one -posted by the Op has a bit of date on it and could well go unnoticed by a few of us.

Again a big welcome to our community.

    Grahame
