The Mill X6232Cx16
This was going to be a retirement project but work is quiet and I thought I should make sure that it is actually a viable project.
Cosidering that it has been sitting outside for an unknown length of time it is in reasonable condition.

I removed the cover plates from void on the overarm and 16 litres of water later

Thankfully the gearbox seals were okay and the oil is still reasonable in there. Some surface rust on the gears and shafts.

That's terrible, will you be using elbow grease and scotchbrite to clean that mess.
Looks like a good machine though.

This is how I found it.

I paid $2000.00 for it, mainly because the main casting is the same as the other horizontal mill I bought. Hopefully I'll end up with one good mill for under $ 6000.00 ( could even have 2 ).
This is the main gearbox.

I did find this gooey mess inside, seems to be grease and casting sand, will see what's at the bottom of the box later.

I bet it tastes and smells like the big sweaty oily guy that operated the machine for years
